HOPE

What’s Abd?!!

Life is not always as it easy as it seems.

For every decision made comes a set of consequences that one needs to be responsible for.

How does one make a smart and informed decision then?

It’s not easy but as proven in history, a decision that affects lives of others is often seen as admirable ONLY in the nascent stage but when reality sets, it is often dubbed as a very stupid and irrational decision.

Why?

Because no one likes to get involved in the wrath of someone’s irrational decision.

A good example would be United States President Bush’s decision to go to war with Iraq. Initially supported by congress and most of the world, it was later stemmed as probably one of the most irrational decisions ever made because plenty of lives were affected, both American and Iraqi.

All of which, Bush never bothered about because he had his sights on just bringin down Saddam Hussein with the pretext of taking out the weapons of mass destruction which till date have never been found and the US military has since been forced to remain there because they needed to keep law and order. (Now that’s a long sentence wasn’t it!)

Get it?

Okay well – In A NUTSHELL:

ONE very STUPID decision for one man’s GREED and INTEREST at the cost of other’s convenience and worries = NOT well liked and being unpopular eventually leading to HATRED.

At times, suffering on your own in silence is better than bringing other innocent lives with you for your greed and interest.

Unfortunately, not many people remain smart especially when they are the one in power and control. They believe that they are doing the right thing but unknowingly, they are doing the worst thing they could have ever imagined.

History and statistics probably offer you the best lessons to learn from, quite simply because, refuse to listen and you will soon be able to say this to yourself – I’m HISTORY!!! That’s not quite a good phrase to use because it’s often linked to something bad.

In the year 2009, I hope that war will cease to exist although this is impossible with fellow Palestinians death toll rising close to 450 now. I also hope that people can be more clear minded when making decisions because there has been too many wrong decisions made in 2008.

I also hope that people will be more open to discuss their problems and emotions to whomever they feel comfortable to and especially to people involved in their lives because some people keep it in them for so long that their loved one’s find it hard to help them and often misunderstand them.

I talk so much about other people so what is it about me that needs help/ change?

I hope to get into a Local University this year despite my less than sterling GPA (YES! My GPA is a joke!). I hope that I will be able to change certain aspects of my attitude towards life especially in terms of my level of ignorance. I hope that this new business venture will be extremely successful because the last one saw one of the partners making an irrational decision to run away from home. I hope that my SSP family gets more performances/ gigs and more of them to appear on TV, that includes me also.

Last but not least, I hope that everyone stays in good health, spirits and also for everyone to find love!

[As long as people think rationally, there’s hope at the end of the light]

Armageddon – The Beginning (Updated)

What’s Abd?!!

As Israeli air raids continue on the Hamas governed Gaza Strip, the international community has been giving mixed responses.

Whilst the international community has called for the attacks to end, alliances on different sides of the border has been formed.

While Muslim nations and several other nations such as China have called for Israel to stop the air raids which have killed at least 360 Palestinians till date, the United States has defended Israeli deathly strikes and blamed Hamas for the cause of it.

Hamas, a militant group which was voted to power democratically in Palentine has not been recognised by the Axis of Evil as a legal and capable government. Similarly, Israel has not been recognised as a state having been allocated a small portion of land by Britain but have since grown in size as a result of invasion through victories in wars supported by the United States military.

It is no secret to the reasons as to why the United States government has been very supportive of Israel despite its aggressive approach towards achieving peace in the Middle East. Majority of major businesses which holds a big stake in the political arena in United States are owned and funded by Israelis.

This would be best quoted by Ariel Sharon, Israeli PM to Shimon Peres on Kol Yisrael radio on October 3 2001, “Every time we do something you tell me America will do this and will do that . . . I want to tell you something very clear: Don’t worry about American pressure on Israel. We, the Jewish people, control America, and the Americans know it.”

A wrong step on the foot by U.S politicians on the Israelis and the U.S economy would tumble down.

United Nations as a world organisation has no power to dictate nor create a major shift in the drive towards peace where Israel is concerned. The UN is merely an organisation formed to create resolutions supported by world leaders towards the benefit of Israel and United States.

With an impending war on sitting on the fences, no doubt the U.S and it’s alliances in the Axis of Evil will be fully supportive Israel whilst the rest of the world watch Palestine crumble into rubble.

The Arab League of Nations and the rest of the world will only do as much as providing humanitarian support to Palestine. A show of military support for Palestine would no doubt list the country as a supporter of a ‘terrorist’ organisation.

With such superpowers in the world, it is sad to see that the political greed of such nations and the cowardice of the rest of the world allows such miseries to fall into place. At times like this, I wish I was a Prime Minister of a country. Given such powers, I’d publicly denounce such air raids, present historical facts and show support for a nation bullied by countries who declare themselves as peaceful and perhaps risk my job as a Prime Minister and face the possibility of assasination.

Nonetheless, perhaps if anything was to go by, the air raids by Israel was in retaliation to Hamas rocket strikes. Still, there is a huge difference in the potential damage between the two arsenals. To go further back, perhaps if Israel were to return the land they have invaded back to its rightful owners, such deaths and damages could be avoided. Even then, perhaps such attacks could only be minimized. Going further back, perhaps if Israel was never given statehood in the first place, the world would truly be at peace because there would be no hatred within the Middle East at all.

And for those religious scholars from the Christian, Jewish and Islamic faith may have known, the mere existence of an Israeli state is an indication that the world is coming to an end. So, maybe if the Israeli state was revoked, perhaps, the armageddon could be prolonged.
